I have no words for this.
PS The crew party afterwards was awesome.

It's a toddling town. It's quadrupled in size since I was there 20 years ago. JR once again found a great person completely at random. We hung out with Glen and Donna that day. I wished they would share some of whatever they were on with us. Turns out those disgusting honeymoon theme rooms you hear about do exist. I would call this one "Nouveau Crack house."

Shag carpet should be banned, especially in hotels.

I’m going to start off saying my favourite part of the day was when I went on the theme ride at the WWF store. Plummeting over 300 feet high in the air. Then my least favourite part of the day was having to wear a big yellow plastic bag over myself and my humongous backpack, while getting people to sign papers in among the Niagara Falls thick rain mist. I spent a majority of the time wrestling with the garbage bag that I kept my papers in to keep them dry. I don’t even know where to start with the stars we found for this episode. They were gems in the gold mind for us. One word: tie dye shirt.

Niagara Falls is a great place. The downtown core is fun, I actually got lost from the crew dow town because my walky-talky died. So I had to go wandering around trying to find everyone. Then I found them in this hotel, where our stars were staying.

The only reason I found out they where there was because as I passed the hotel/motel entrance this sketchy guy was harassing me about what the crew was filming, so I was like “You know where the crew is? Where are they?” and they guy wouldn’t tell me. But then I saw Sarah.

I lost 10 pounds today… parking at the falls is an expensive nightmare… so we parked the vans at the top of the falls and left them there for the day… SO that meant any logistics and scouting had to take place by foot. I swear I ran from the top of the falls to Clifton Hill at least 3 times… I broke down and bought some purple Crocs because the cushioning of my flip flops was wearing thin. This was also the most expensive episode to date… champagne, expensive dinners… I hope there’s a film crew in Paris waiting for me on my honeymoon…

What a place this is. What happened today? Well we followed around a newly married couple that planned a fun filled day. We got wet which was good ‘cause it was hot. Lost my keys to the van, almost had a panic attack but stayed cool and found them; some nice person handed them into the Niagara parks people. Thank you to who ever passed them in. We went onto the WWE ride, which was crazy. The STARS were riding high though. They had a great day and I did too. It was long but nice to see they had a great honeymoon.

As Bernie the Newfoundlander from Carleton Place would have said, "for the love of jumpin', this place is spectacular."  The crew got soaked.  JR got soaked right down to his socks.  We met all kinds of people from all over the world.  Most of them didn't understand a word JR was saying.

Once we found our reality stars, it seemed that everyone in Niagara was willing to help us give them an amazing honeymoon...a reality TV honeymoon really.  Favourite moment: driving around downtown Niagara Falls in a cube van with Mike the cameraman hanging out the passenger window.   I guess that story is not very funny without a visual...but if I had taken a corner too sharply...

I think it would be impossible to be in a place that is as tacky and as hilarious and as awesome as Niagara Falls with the hopes of finding a couple to star in a reality television show, and not find the perfect couple!

That being said, it wasn't nearly as easy as I thought it would be to find a couple who would agree to let us follow them around for the next sixteen hours and turn the rest of their day into a reality television show for the entire country to see! Not until the two most wonderful people I have ever met came strolling towards me.

Everything we do on this show is entirely unscripted and off the cuff which is ironic because the entire show is all about how scripted and completely manufactured most reality shows actually are. I find it funny sometimes when stuff happens that actually looks kind of planned out because of how perfect or seamless it comes together. Meeting this weeks reality television stars was one of those time.

One minute I'm doing everything I can to try and convince some guy about how awesome it would be for him to star in his own reality television show and the next minute I'm looking over his shoulder at some dude wearing a tie die shirt and casually saying "what about you dude, ya want to be a reality television star"! Dude says "lets do it" and just like that we begin following him and his new wife around with our cameras and we make a reality television show.

I'm not sure if I even explained to him exactly what we were doing. Dude was totally cool with us following them around so we just kept shooting footage! If I was watching this show at home and a couple like this who were absolutely prefect to be cast in a reality television show went walking by me the way they did and were as cool and quick to agree to do this as they were, I would assume for sure that this was staged and they were picked and cast to do this.

I get the feeling that the honeymoon will last forever for these guys and I hope that in a gazillion years, they both think back and smile about the day I spent with them in Niagara Falls. There is a good chance that most of the details will probably be a bit foggy but that's what made these guys awesome!

“Newlyweds and their love of having a good time!”

We met our interesting couple about 3pm after previously being rained on from the mist falling from the falls (good pictures of us in yellow ponchos).  These two had a great time because of us.  We took them on everything.  They got priority on “The Maid of the Mist”, had front row seats to see “The Glass Blower”, a “Horse Ride” down along the falls, priority on “The WWE Ride”, free dinner at the top of “The Skylon”, a ride on “The Ferris Wheel”, some time at the funfairs and a bottle of champagne for the hotel soak.  I wasn’t there as I was on fire-watch duty again thank goodness but I got to hear “Where’s the Tower” in a high pitch girl’s voice over and over again as it played at “The Maze”.

When we got back home at 2:30 am I was welcomed by an unmade bed and crawled into it with the longing to close my eyes.
