JR started talking to people as soon as he jumped out of the van… the cameras weren’t even running, but he didn’t seem to notice… he was super hyper today, at least for the first 10 hours… We walked all over the Market and back today several times… I am starting to think that Be Real should also be known as Crew Fat Camp… with all the running around! We finally met Chelsea, who is a joy… but I can safely say that I have never seen a more disgusting house in my entire life (no offence Chelsea!). I lived with 8 people once in a 6 bedroom house, and it was dirty… but I made a job wheel so the cleaning duties could be shared by everyone… (I come by my production manager skills honestly!) BUT it was quickly disregarded by my roommates (pigs)… and our house was a mess….  BUT Chelsea… there were chicken wings on your living room floor!!!!!

All I can remember from this day was Chelsea's totally filthy house. Yes girls can be just as dirty as men. Cheers.

Chelsea needs a job...

This is the very first episode we shot! I am super stoked to be on for this shoot. I have amazing high hopes for this show. J.R. digs is hilarious I dig him! We shot in Ottawa today My hometown! We toured the market area for a person to focus on for the show. It is harder than I thought to get someone to agree to be on tv. But then again having a crew follow you around all day is a lot to ask depending on what you have planned. We ended up meeting this little hippie political chick named Chelsea. She is a student with no job and was totally up for whatever. There was fun in the park and then we went to check out her little sketchy student apartment. I gave her a little Meredith makeover and we as a team decided to help that little chick out to turn her life around. I have a lot of friends that work in the market so I was happy to hook up a few places to shoot. I am so excited to stat on this new gig and am hoping the fun that we have on the street translates to the viewer in reality tv. land!

Get a haircut and get a job.

First day on the job and what a work out!  Not only did I start off with carrying tapes for both camera men but water to go for all, meanwhile learning the job by getting the releases for anyone one that J.R. talks to.  As I was the only P.A. it was very hard to get release forms signed while the rest of the crew ran up to the next group.

Our initial subject found us, not the other way around.  Chelsea came up to us really to find out what we were doing and after listening to what she had to say J.R. believed that she would be the perfect person to have as our first subject.

We then met Chelsea’s boyfriend in the park; bringing some food previously purchased at a grocery store earlier on we then proceeded to watch Chelsea and her boyfriend picnic.  Chelsea’s boyfriend had to leave and J.R. thought it looked lonely to see Chelsea alone at the picnic, so he joined in.
We took Chelsea home…um... yeah right…we literally stopped in our tracks when we saw the condition of her house.  She lives in it well, is all I can say.

We got her tidied up; resumes in hand and took her to various locations to get a job.  After job hunting she called up some friends and met them at “The Brig” where they discussed boyfriends and her job hunting that day.
