We set up base camp at the local Tim Horton's in Picton and JR quickly got to work.  After finding some promising leads in the community doughnut shop, the crew was led down Picton's main street.  Although the street was busy and the people hospitable and friendly, JR still had not found the star he was looking for.  While heading back to the vehicles, however, JR found his star riding his sister's pink bicycle into town.  Gregory then took the helm and we followed him from the local library throughout Picton where he was looking for a job.  I had a great time in Picton and was especially pleased when Greg eventually led us to the Sandbanks for a little 'kite-boarding'.

My thought on Picton was that it is an extremely rural town. The jiving place to be was the Tim Horton’s on the main street. The parking lot was full of locals hanging around gabbing with one another. At the Tim Horton’s we met a French surfer. A very good-looking French surfer. But he didn’t become our star. The star that we found was superb. He had a pink bike that he wasn’t to fond of, and he was on a mission to find a job. We went all over Picton with him, to the library and to the Sandbanks. There was a special surprise for the ladies at the Sandbanks!! The end of the day was my favorite when Greg presented us with his dance moves while JR showed off his keyboard playing skills.

I have always wanted to see someone kite-surf and it looks like a blast. Our star, the pink bicycle riding Gregory, was probably the most willing of any of our stars to do some crazy sh*t with our pal JR. We can’t even air some of it. Favorite Gregory quote: “Extreme!!!” Fave moment: “bluescreening” waves and crashing surf …right in front of real live waves and crashing surf.

Prince Edward Country is one of the most beautiful places in Canada. The Sandbanks Provincial Park was one of our locations and it was fabulous, save the gale-force winds… This day was lovely, except that Stephen locked the keys in the van which was not lovely; in fact, I almost lost my cool… almost.
