As in Kingston, J.R. ran into several good candidates early in the day in Napanee, but could not find quite what he was looking for.  He searched the local watering hole, coffee shop, and numerous arts & crafts stores, but eventually found his star working on community initiatives in the business centre.  Corina was a busy woman on a tight schedule.  That schedule led us to the Mayor's house, his golf course, Corina's boyfriend, and even Elvis himself.  The most memorable moment on this leg for me was watching Corina discuss Elvis with the mayor as they played mini-golf by van light.  There was a large Elvis cutout on the grass and the entire situation was bizarre.

We met some interesting characters in Napanee; a priest, Elvis impersonators, town mayor. We were hopping to all different parts of the town following the star while she did all the tasks that she had to do that day. My favourite part of the day was when JR had this older lady slap him in the face several amounts of times. Then at one point JR lead us all into a bar called ‘Marks Place’. This was no ‘CHEERS’ style bar, not like that all. I think maybe there were more ex-cons in there than anywhere else in Ontario because everyone seemed to scatter away faster than cockroaches. I guess because they didn’t want their face to be on camera.

We had a really, REALLY bad morning in Napanee. NO ONE was interested in us, whatsoever! Until of course our lovely, generous, community-minded star Corina showed up. Thanks to her we got the mayor to play a round of mini-golf in the dark, met an Elvis impersonator, and almost (finally!) got our first Be Real sex scene. Fave moment: JR singing a lullaby through his nose to Corina in her bedroom.

I really wanted to go to Napanee because that is where my family settled when they first came to Canada. It has certainly changed a lot since I was last there. Thank god for Corina! She saved the day by being amazing and charismatic and silly and resourceful. She has an all access pass to the entire town, including the mayor’s mini put course in the middle of the night, and she even took us to see an Elvis impersonator! It couldn’t have worked out better!
